The Counter Custody EntryTM module is designed for participants who have an immediate need for this training and who see the value of this type of unique training. The reality of being engaged in a dangerous and similar situation is arising in our world today. Participants will learn to observe, identify and overcome the current tactics being used for assaults and abductions. Assuming limited resources, tools or support, the participant will learn to identify and build improvised weapons and concealment of counter custody tools. Students will go through an immersive training experience designed for them to examine the complexities and nuances of contemporary organized crime groups. Students will learn how crime groups operate and how a scenario of irregular custody usually evolves from victim targeting to long term captivity.
This intensive course will provide high-pressure situation-based training for those seeking proactive and realistic solutions for moving in Non-Permissive environments.

Joe Nepo (Edged Weapon Instr.) Joe Nepo has over 26 years of law enforcement, 7 years of US Marine Corps service as a scout sniper. Joe also has 27 years of Martial Arts instruction in several disciplines to give a unique perspective on edged weapons training. He is the designer and chief instructor for LAPD’s Mounted Unit’s Bokken (impact weapon) as an edged weapon specialist; Joe has been the guest instructor for several local law enforcement agencies.

Yousef Badou is an educator and trainer with a diverse background. Having grown up in the Middle East, Yousef was prepared to handle the nuances of the region while deployed in theater as Marine Infantryman. Following his time in the military, Yousef was certified a Master Instructor and is currently contracted by the Marine Corps to serve has a Behavioral Recognition Subject Matter Expert to the Marine Corps Combat Hunter program. He is the certifying authority for instructors in subjects pertaining to Enhanced Observation, Behavior Recognition and Tracking. Yousef has worked with various law enforcement organizations to include the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (WCJTC) in the execution of the Tactical Social Interaction course, which was featured on NBC and the Police Chiefs Magazine. Yousef’s formal training includes, but is not limited to the following.
