This two-day class will cover the shotgun, from nomenclature and manipulation to defensive use in your home or business. The same skills are applicable to law enforcement.

Saturday evening includes a Low-Light block.

By the end of the class, you’ll have developed and begun refining the skills needed to manipulate your shotgun and keep it loaded, allowing you to solve a judgmental shooting problem.    

The Shotgun-I Course is designed to give the shooter a set of advanced shotgun fundamentals. Every class instructed at Sierra Element starts with the proper mindset. The class concentrates on safety, the 7 elements of marksmanship and balancing speed and accuracy.

The Thunderstick Summit is a premier 3‑day defensive shotgun training event hosted by Vang Comp Systems, bringing together around 100 shooters from across the U.S. to learn from a cadre of world‑renowned defensive shotgun specialists Vang Comp Systems+1.

The Summit is designed to be the most comprehensive and well‑rounded defensive shotgun training experience available. It uses a dynamic round‑robin format, where participants rotate between different ranges and instructors, sampling condensed training blocks from multiple outfits Vang Comp Systems+1. This allows attendees to experience different curricula, teaching styles, and defensive philosophies in a single weekend.

The Rough Terrain Pistol Course Level-II is designed to give the student a set of solid handgun fundamentals and last resort combatives while operating in rough terrain. Every course instructed at Sierra Element starts with the proper mindset. The course concentrates on the 7 elements of marksmanship, balancing speed and accuracy under stress. This course will challenge shooters of all levels as we cover techniques that are currently being used in US and Foreign Law Enforcement/Military units.

AR-15 Rifle Tune Up Course is designed to give the student a solid foundation of marksmanship, clearing malfunctions and care and cleaning.  Take your training to the next level and train with some of the most professional instructors in the country.

Our Private Group Firearms Training program provides a customized, professional training experience designed specifically for small groups, organizations, teams, and private clients.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all class, private training allows us to tailor the curriculum to your group’s experience level, objectives, and equipment. Instruction focuses on safe firearms handling, fundamentals, weapon manipulation, marksmanship, movement, decision-making, and practical application in a controlled training environment.
